Join us as our dream takes root

We’ve recently moved to a small farm in Leicestershire and are starting again — this time growing food and flowers for our local community.

After many years of office life and raising four boys, we’re preparing the land, building infrastructure, and putting thoughtful systems in place for our first harvests from spring next year.

We’ll be sharing the journey as we go — the planning, the planting, the learning, and the moments that make it all worthwhile.

Meet the Farmers

We’re Stef and Sue — Stef and Sue’s Little Farm is our second-life adventure

We believe good food and flowers come from healthy soil, patience, and paying attention.

Our days now look very different — working with the seasons, caring for animals, and growing things slowly and thoughtfully.

This farm is about more than produce.

It’s about reconnecting with land, community, health, and joy.

Our Practices

We’re building a small, regenerative farm focused on soil health and biodiversity.

Our vegetables and cut flowers are grown without chemicals, with an emphasis on natural processes, careful observation, and working with nature rather than against it.

Animals play a role in improving the land, and everything we do is guided by long-term care for the soil and the people it feeds.

What We Grow

Seasonal vegetables and fresh-cut flowers, grown locally in Barwell and harvested at their best.

We’re planting now for our first harvests from spring next year, focusing on varieties that grow well here and taste as they should.

If you’ve ever struggled to find certain vegetables or flowers locally, we’d love to hear about it.

We will supply within a 10-mile radius of Barwell to keep food miles low and relationships close.

Our Dream is Taking Root

As we prepare for our first season, we’re shaping what we grow around the needs of our local community.

If you’re a home cook, café, restaurant, or florist — and there’s something you’d love to source locally — let’s talk.

We’re happy to discuss specific varieties, quantities, and timing.
